Promise Thailand Expands Personal Loan Access via Local Branches
Promise (Thailand) is increasing its physical branch presence to provide personal loans to employees with regular incomes.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, Promise (Thailand) is expanding its service network through local branches to improve access to formal financial credit. The company is targeting individuals with a regular monthly income of at least 8,000 THB, offering credit lines of up to 300,000 THB.
For residents or long-term visitors who meet the criteria, this expansion aims to provide a source for emergency liquidity. The company states that applications submitted with complete documentation before 6:00 PM can be processed within one hour. To qualify, applicants must be Thai nationals aged 20 to 64, have been employed for at least one month, and reside or work within the service area. The interest rates and fees range from 15% to 25% per annum, calculated on a reducing balance basis in accordance with Bank of Thailand regulations. The company emphasizes a 'Responsible Lending' policy, encouraging borrowers to assess their repayment capacity carefully.
While this service offers a potential financial tool for those meeting the specific employment and residency requirements, it is important to note that eligibility is restricted to Thai nationals. Prospective applicants should verify the specific documentation required and confirm if their current location falls within the company's active service zones before visiting a branch.
