New Transport Routes Launched by The Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS)
The Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) has introduced two new bus routes, including a cross-border service between Udon Thani and Vientiane, to improve travel connectivity.
On September 9, 2026, The Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) officially launched two new bus routes aimed at enhancing seamless travel connectivity across Thailand. According to Khaosod Online, the most notable addition is the feeder service connecting Udon Thani Bus Terminal, Udon Thani International Airport, and Vientiane, Laos.
This cross-border route covers a distance of 87 kilometers and is operated by 40-seat, second-class air-conditioned buses. The service runs twice daily (round trip) with a fare set at 80 baht. BKS Managing Director Atthawit Rakjamroon noted that the inaugural trip, which departed at 09:30, received positive feedback from passengers who appreciated the improved convenience of connecting directly from the airport to the Lao capital.
In addition to the international route, BKS has also introduced a domestic service connecting Bangkok, Takuapa, and Thap Lamu. For travelers and residents, these routes represent a significant effort to integrate bus transport with air travel, potentially reducing transit times and simplifying cross-border logistics. While the initial reception has been favorable, further details regarding long-term scheduling adjustments or potential expansions of these feeder services remain to be confirmed by the transport authority.
