Fatal Traffic Accident at Loei Intersection
A 52-year-old woman died after being struck by a delivery truck that reportedly ran a red light in Loei province.
On the evening of September 8, 2026, a fatal collision occurred at the Kamnoet Phet intersection on the Loei-Chiang Khan road in Mueang Loei district. According to reports from Khaosod Online, a 52-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Kaenkaew, was killed when her Honda Wave motorcycle was struck by a delivery pickup truck.
Dashcam footage reportedly captured the moment the delivery truck driver proceeded through a red light, resulting in the collision. Police Lieutenant Colonel Booncherd Kongkerd of the Mueang Loei Police Station confirmed that emergency responders and medical personnel from Loei Hospital arrived at the scene to find the victim deceased and her motorcycle severely damaged. The driver of the pickup truck, a 50-year-old man, remained at the scene to surrender to authorities.
