On September 9, 2026, officials in Uttaradit province, led by Deputy Governor Sorapong Manasukonun, visited the Rangsrit orchard in Fai Luang sub-district to mark the start of the harvest season for Langsat and Longkong fruits. These fruits are iconic to the Laplae district, known for their quality and export potential.
During the event, authorities announced the 40th annual 'Langsat and Longkong Sweet Festival,' which is scheduled to take place from September 18 to 27, 2026. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, local officials anticipate that this year’s harvest will generate over 700 million baht in revenue for the region.
