Cook Vegetable Oil Launches Organic Waste Innovation Center in Samut Prakan
Cook Vegetable Oil has partnered with local authorities and the Butter Fly organization to establish an organic waste management facility at Khlong Na Kluea Noi School.
On September 8, 2026, Prachachat Business reported that Cook Vegetable Oil, in collaboration with the local sub-district administrative organization, the Samut Prakan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, and the organization Butter Fly, has inaugurated an 'Organic Waste Value Creation Innovation Greenhouse.'
Located at Khlong Na Kluea Noi School in Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan, the facility is designed to serve as both an educational hub and a practical site for organic waste disposal. The project aims to provide students and the surrounding community with hands-on experience in waste management and sustainability practices.
For residents and visitors, this initiative highlights a growing trend in Thailand toward localized environmental management and corporate social responsibility. While the facility is currently operational as a learning center, it remains to be seen how the model will be scaled to other schools or if it will lead to broader waste reduction policies in the Samut Prakan province.
