Srettha Thavisin Launches Initiative to Address Milk Surplus and Support Vulnerable Youth

On September 4, 2026, former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced a new social initiative through the Sermkla Foundation. Responding to a request from the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand regarding a significant surplus of raw milk affecting local farmers, Srettha has partnered with Sansiri and other private sector allies to purchase the excess supply.

This initiative aims to transform a supply chain challenge into a social benefit by distributing the processed milk to schools, foundations, and childcare centers. The program focuses on Bangkok, Pathum Thani, and Ratchaburi. The inclusion of Ratchaburi is particularly notable as it aligns with Srettha’s previous 'Zero Dropout' campaign, which seeks to keep children within the educational system. By providing nutritional support, the project aims to improve the overall quality of life for vulnerable youth, ensuring they have the physical foundation necessary for learning and development.
