Thailand Prepares Trade Strategy for Kazakhstan Market Entry
The Department of Trade Negotiations is hosting a seminar to prepare Thai entrepreneurs for expansion into the Kazakhstan market and the Eurasian Economic Union.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN) under the Ministry of Commerce is organizing a workshop titled 'Driving Proactive Trade Strategy: Connecting Thailand to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Hub.' The event is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Grande Centre Point Terminal 21 in Bangkok.
Chotima Iemsawasdikul, Director-General of the DTN, stated that the seminar serves as a preparatory step for the first meeting of the Thailand-Kazakhstan Joint Trade Committee (JTC). The initiative aligns with the policy of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthampun to boost export figures and penetrate high-potential markets in Central Asia. The workshop aims to gather insights from government officials, private sector representatives, academics, and media analysts to formulate Thailand's trade stance.
