Liverpool FC Announces Turkish Airlines as New Shirt Sponsor
Liverpool FC has secured a five-year deal with Turkish Airlines to become the club's new shirt sponsor starting from the 2027-28 season.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Liverpool FC has officially announced that Turkish Airlines will become the club's new shirt sponsor. This partnership marks the end of the club's long-standing relationship with Standard Chartered, which has served as the primary sponsor since 2010 and is set to conclude at the end of the current season.
The new agreement, which covers both the men's and women's teams, is scheduled to begin with the 2027-28 season. Citing BBC reports, the deal is valued at a total of £300 million over five years, equating to £60 million per year. This represents an increase of £10 million annually compared to the previous sponsorship arrangement.
For residents and travelers in Thailand who follow international football, this change highlights a significant shift in the commercial landscape of the Premier League. Ben Latty, Liverpool’s Chief Commercial Officer, described the partnership as a major milestone for the club. While the financial terms and the start date for the upcoming season have been confirmed by the club's website, fans may look forward to further details regarding the new kit designs and promotional activities as the transition date approaches.
