Wild Elephant 'Biang Lek' Spotted Near Khao Yai Karaoke Venue
A well-known bull elephant from Khao Yai National Park was observed wandering near local businesses on Thanarat Road.
On the evening of September 7, 2026, a wild bull elephant identified by locals as 'Biang Lek' ventured outside the boundaries of Khao Yai National Park. According to a report by Khaosod English, the animal was observed at approximately 19:00 near kilometre marker 18 on Thanarat Road in the Moo Si area of Nakhon Ratchasima.
During its excursion, the elephant passed by several local establishments, including a karaoke venue and various restaurants. While such sightings are notable, they serve as a reminder for residents and travellers in the vicinity of the national park to remain vigilant. Wildlife encounters near park borders can be unpredictable, and authorities often advise maintaining a safe distance from wild animals to prevent potential conflicts.
