Thailand Expands Tropical Fruit Exports to Shanxi, China

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Thai Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is actively expanding market access for Thai agricultural products in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi. Officials have held discussions with representatives from Linyi County in Yuncheng City to facilitate the entry of premium tropical fruits—specifically durian, mangosteen, longan, and coconut—into the local retail sector.

This initiative follows an assessment of the DX Supermarket chain, where Thai products have reportedly gained popularity among local consumers. Beyond fresh produce, the DITP is also pushing for the inclusion of processed fruits, frozen goods, snacks, beverages, and Thai rice within the retail network.
