According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, actress Thanya Engtrakul has resumed her role as a primary judge for the 2026 Miss Thin Thai Ngam pageant. Thanya, who has served on the judging panel since 2018, highlighted that the competition remains committed to its 76-year legacy of promoting traditional Thai beauty and conservative values, distinguishing it from more modern pageant formats.
During the selection process, Thanya noted the high caliber of the 30 contestants, who bring diverse professional backgrounds—ranging from medical doctors to flight attendants—to the stage. She emphasized that the pageant maintains rigorous standards, noting that even frontrunners can be eliminated if they do not align with the specific identity of the competition. When asked about the involvement of her husband, Sanchai 'Pek' Engtrakul, she jokingly remarked that he is kept away from the judging panel to avoid potential complications, leaving the selection process to her and Sineenart 'Pookky' Engtrakul.
