CKPower Expands Solar Capacity in Thailand
CKPower has announced plans to launch a new 5 MW solar power project during the second half of 2026, supported by strong performance from its hydroelectric facilities.
According to a report by Thai Post, CKPower is moving forward with its operational plans for the latter half of 2026. The company intends to achieve the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for a new 5-megawatt solar power project. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to bolster the company's energy output.
Management indicated that this growth is supported by favorable conditions at the Xayaburi (XPCL) and Nam Ngum 2 (NN2) hydroelectric power plants, which are currently providing strong output. Additionally, the Bangpa-in Cogeneration (BIC) facility has returned to full operational capacity, further stabilizing the company's energy supply chain.
