Assault Incident Reported in Chachoengsao Province

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 50-year-old daily wage worker named Sumit was allegedly attacked on September 5, 2026, in the Bang Nam Priao district of Chachoengsao province. CCTV footage captured the incident, which occurred on a road near Khlong 15.

Reports indicate that the suspect, identified as the new partner of Sumit’s ex-wife, Marisa, tracked Sumit down after inquiring about his location with local residents. Following a verbal confrontation, the suspect reportedly accelerated his motorcycle into Sumit, knocking him to the ground, and subsequently physically assaulted him. The dispute reportedly stems from an ongoing financial issue involving a motorcycle loan that remained unresolved despite the vehicle being returned to the finance company.

For residents and travelers, this incident highlights a localized personal dispute rather than a general safety threat to the public.
