Thai authorities have ordered the deportation of a French national operating a zoo on Koh Samui due to allegations of threatening behavior and public disturbance.
On September 7, 2026, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul signed an official order (No. 2354/2569) mandating the deportation of Mr. Kevin Dimino, a French national who owns a pet café and zoo on the island of Koh Samui. According to Khaosod Online, the Ministry of Interior’s order cites specific behavioral concerns, including allegations of intimidation, physical assault, and causing public nuisance. The document further claims that Mr. Dimino’s actions have fostered racial and religious divisions among tourists and demonstrated reckless behavior that posed risks to public safety and property.
This deportation order follows a conviction in the Koh Samui Provincial Court related to violations of the 1979 Land Traffic Act. The Ministry’s directive notes that Mr. Dimino has the right to file an appeal against this deportation order within seven days.
