The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has finalized a contract to construct a new four-lane road connecting the Thepharak area to the Eastern Outer Ring Road, with completion expected by August 2028.
According to a report by Prachachat Business on September 7, 2026, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has officially signed a construction contract for a new four-lane road project. This infrastructure development aims to link the Rattanakosin Somphot-Nimit Mai area (Thepharak) to the Eastern Outer Ring Road.
The project covers a distance of approximately 5 kilometers and involves a construction budget of 1.33 billion baht. Additionally, the BMA has allocated 1.4 billion baht for land expropriation processes required to clear the path for the new route. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity within the eastern road network of the capital.
