Tragic Double Fatality Reported in Chai Nat Province
A municipal employee allegedly killed a woman before taking his own life in Chai Nat, according to local police reports.
On September 7, 2026, authorities in Chai Nat province discovered the body of a 57-year-old municipal employee in a mango orchard. According to Khaosod Online, police were alerted to the scene following a confession sent via mobile phone by the deceased to his ex-wife and a friend on September 6. In these messages, the man claimed to have strangled a woman he was seeing.
Acting on this information, police and local residents forced entry into a rented room in Mueang Chai Nat district, where they discovered the body of a woman identified as Ms. Rae. The room had been locked with the air conditioning left running. Medical examiners estimated that the man had been deceased for at least 24 hours prior to the discovery of his body. His remains have been transferred to Sawanpracharak Hospital for a formal forensic examination to confirm the exact cause of death.
