Thai Government Reallocates 6 Billion Baht to Central Budget for Klong Dan Compensation

According to a report by Matichon Online on September 7, 2026, Deputy House Speaker Paradorn Prissanananthakul has addressed recent adjustments to the national budget. The government has decided to reallocate 6 billion baht from existing departmental budgets into the central budget. Paradorn clarified that this reallocation does not represent an increase in total government spending. Furthermore, he addressed concerns regarding the Student Loan Fund (SLF), stating that the budget for the fund will not be increased. Instead, he emphasized that the SLF management must focus on improving their internal financial administration to ensure efficiency with existing resources.
