According to Khaosod Online, opposition MP Sirikanya Tansakul of the People's Party proposed a 50 billion baht reduction to this allocation.
Her proposal targets two main areas: 38 billion baht from emergency reserve funds and 12 billion baht earmarked for economic and social recovery, specifically to address energy price volatility. During the debate, MP Weera raised concerns that the 12 billion baht energy transition budget overlaps with existing 400 billion baht loan decrees. To manage economic instability, he further suggested a one-to-two-year freeze on civil servant salary increases.
