An ice cream shop owner in Cha-am has filed a police report after being repeatedly approached by individuals claiming to be officers demanding money.
On September 7, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that an ice cream vendor in the Huai Sai Tai community of Cha-am, Phetchaburi, has sought assistance from local authorities regarding a series of suspicious financial demands. The shop owner, identified as Mrs. Dusara, stated that she has been targeted multiple times by individuals who claim to be police officers seeking 'donations' for official activities.
According to the report, the incidents began on March 25, 2026, when a man arrived by car and requested a donation, for which she provided 1,000 baht. The same individual allegedly returned on subsequent occasions to demand further payments. In a more recent incident, the man reportedly returned with a woman and requested 2,000 baht via telephone while the owner was away, leading her partner to negotiate a lower amount. Feeling threatened and concerned for her family's safety, Mrs. Dusara has filed a formal complaint with the Cha-am Police Station.
