Gulf Energy Responds to Government Lawsuit Over Satellite Assets

Gulf Energy Development PCL has publicly addressed reports that the Thai Cabinet approved a move by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) to pursue legal action against Gulf and its subsidiary, THCOM. According to Prachachat Business, the government alleges that the companies failed to return all required assets following the conclusion of their satellite concession agreement. The ministry is reportedly seeking 1.25 billion baht in damages and penalties.

In a formal statement, Gulf Energy maintained that it has already fulfilled its obligations and returned all assets to the ministry in accordance with the contract terms. The company expressed its readiness to contest the allegations through the judicial process to protect its interests.
