Thai Youth Badminton Team Departs for Asian Championships in Chengdu

On September 6, 2026, the Thai youth badminton team departed from Don Mueang International Airport for Chengdu, China, to participate in the Badminton Asia U17 & U15 Junior Championships 2026. The team traveled via Thai Lion Air flight SL932.

Air Chief Marshal Monthol Satchukorn, President of the Badminton Association of Thailand, was present at the airport to offer encouragement to the athletes. Anchalee Wuttisak, Head of Regional Sports Administration at the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), is accompanying the team as manager. This tournament serves as a significant evaluation point for the athletes, many of whom are part of the 'Sports Science High Performance' project—a collaborative initiative between the SAT, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and the National Sports Development Fund aimed at enhancing athletic capabilities through sports science.
