Classic Car Caravan Promotes Ayutthaya Tourism

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently joined a classic car caravan to Ayutthaya to highlight the province's cultural and culinary appeal.

On September 6, 2026, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) participated in the 'IMPACT Speed Fest x Amazing Thailand – Ayutthaya 1 Day Trip' event. According to Khaosod Online, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool welcomed a caravan of over 50 travelers and 30 classic cars, which departed from Bangkok for the historic city of Ayutthaya.

The event, organized in collaboration with IMPACT Exhibition Management, featured Paul Kanjanapas, CEO of IMPACT, alongside various travel influencers and lifestyle KOLs. The initiative aimed to showcase the 'Luxperience' of visiting the World Heritage site, encouraging travelers to explore local temples and sample regional cuisine, specifically the famous Ayutthaya river prawns.

For residents and travelers, this event highlights ongoing efforts to promote high-quality tourism in Ayutthaya, blending heritage appreciation with unique travel experiences. The caravan included diverse groups, such as students from the National Defence College and various executive study groups, suggesting a broad appeal for such organized excursions. While the event successfully promoted the route, it remains to be seen how these promotional activities will influence long-term visitor numbers to the historic capital. Further details regarding future caravan schedules or specific tourism packages resulting from this collaboration have not yet been announced.
