Fatal Land Dispute in Chumphon Leaves One Dead
A long-standing land dispute in Chumphon province escalated into a fatal knife fight, resulting in one death and one person critically injured.
On September 6, 2026, a violent altercation occurred in Ban Khuan, Lang Suan district, Chumphon province, according to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand. Police from Lang Suan Station were notified of a stabbing incident involving two men who had a history of conflict over land ownership.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities learned that relatives had already transported both individuals to local hospitals. The first man, identified as 55-year-old Kovit, sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest and later passed away at Lang Suan Hospital. The second man, 40-year-old Anisorn, suffered a severe abdominal stab wound. He was initially taken to Pak Nam Lang Suan Hospital before being transferred to Chumphon Khet Udom Sak Hospital for further treatment. Police have placed the surviving man under guard at the hospital as they prepare to pursue legal action.
