Chinese Nationals Sought After Violent Assault at Rayong Data Center Site

According to a report by Khaosod Online, police in Pluak Daeng, Rayong, are investigating a violent incident that occurred on September 6, 2026, at a data center construction site within the WHA Industrial Estate. Authorities were alerted after a group of Chinese nationals allegedly attacked a safety officer and a security guard with wooden clubs.

The victims, identified as Mr. Siwapat Waratjatupat and Mr. Anek Tibtem, sustained severe injuries during the altercation. Following initial treatment at Pluak Daeng Hospital, the victims were transferred to Rayong Hospital for urgent specialized care, with medical staff noting that the injuries are critical and could potentially lead to permanent disability. The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a Toyota Fortuner immediately following the assault.
