STECON Group Announces Data Center Project in Bang Na
Thai construction firm STECON Group is diversifying into the data center sector, utilizing its land bank at Bang Na-Trat KM 4.5.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, STECON Group (STECON) has announced a strategic shift to enter the data center industry. The company plans to develop a project on its land bank located at KM 4.5 of the Bang Na-Trat Road.
Jarunat Jirarat-sathit, an executive director at STECON, stated that the company aims to generate long-term revenue through this new business venture. Beyond the data center infrastructure itself, the company intends to provide utility services, specifically water supply, to data center clients and industrial estates in the area.
For residents and those living in the Bang Na district, this development signals a shift in land use toward high-tech industrial infrastructure. While the project aims to bolster the company's long-term financial stability, it also highlights the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the eastern corridor of Bangkok.
