Phetchaburi Domestic Dispute Results in Severe Injury
A violent altercation between two brothers in Phetchaburi province led to a severe injury and a subsequent police surrender.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a violent domestic dispute occurred on the evening of September 5, 2026, in the Thung Pong area of Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi. Local authorities were notified of a serious injury following a confrontation between two brothers, identified as Mr. Thawatchai and Mr. Chaiwat, outside their residence.
Reports indicate that the argument escalated when Mr. Thawatchai allegedly used a 27-inch military-style machete to strike his brother, resulting in the amputation of Mr. Chaiwat’s left arm. Bystanders and relatives provided immediate assistance, transporting the victim to Tha Yang Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Following the incident, Mr. Thawatchai surrendered to officers at the Tha Mai Ruak Police Station to face legal proceedings.
