Missing 33-Year-Old Woman Located After Seven-Day Disappearance
A 33-year-old woman reported missing since August 28 has been found safe on a bus in Lampang province, confirming she was not coerced.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 33-year-old woman who had been missing since August 28 has been located by authorities. The woman had last been seen traveling with a man identified as 'Nut,' a former partner who had recently been released from prison. Her disappearance had caused significant concern, particularly as police investigations tracked Nut’s vehicle to Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai, before finding it abandoned. Evidence suggested that Nut had fled across the border into a neighboring country, raising fears for the woman's safety.
On September 4, 2026, the situation reached a resolution when the woman contacted her family, confirming she was safe. Shortly thereafter, officers from the Sop Prap Police Station in Lampang intercepted the bus she was traveling on, which was en route from Chiang Mai to Kanchanaburi. Upon questioning, the woman stated that she had been traveling with Nut voluntarily and had not been harmed. She explained that the seven-day loss of contact was due to a lack of mobile phone signal in the areas they visited.
