Tragic Road Accident in Ayutthaya Claims Life of Young Motorcyclist
A collision between a trailer truck and a motorcycle in Bang Pahan district, Ayutthaya, has resulted in one fatality and one serious injury among two young boys.
On September 4, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the parallel road of the Asia Highway in Bang Pahan district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a trailer truck collided with a motorcycle carrying two boys, aged 12 and 14.
Local police, led by Pol. Lt. Col. Chaiwat Thippayasotthi, responded to the scene at kilometer marker 35 in Khwan Mueang sub-district around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the body of the 14-year-old boy, who had sustained severe head injuries. The 12-year-old boy was found with critical injuries to his eyes and body and was rushed to Bang Pahan Hospital for emergency treatment.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights the ongoing risks associated with navigating parallel roads alongside heavy freight traffic on major Thai highways. The driver of the trailer truck reportedly fled the scene immediately following the collision.
