Unidentified Body Discovered in Khwae Noi River, Kanchanaburi

On the afternoon of September 4, 2026, police in Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi, were alerted to the discovery of a deceased woman floating in the Khwae Noi River near the Ban Prang Kasi bridge. According to Khaosod Online, officers from the Thong Pha Phum Police Station, accompanied by medical personnel and local rescue foundations, recovered the body from the riverbank.
The deceased is estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, with a thin build, fair skin, and long, dyed-red hair. She was found wearing a yellow short-sleeved collared shirt featuring patterns of red swans, green foliage, watermelon slices, and spray bottles, along with only underwear. A blue string, resembling a sacred thread, was tied around her left wrist. Investigators noted a small wound near her right eyebrow and significant bruising around her right eye. No identification documents were found on her person.
For residents and travelers in the area, this incident is currently under investigation by local authorities who are working to identify the victim and determine the cause of death. As the investigation is ongoing, the circumstances surrounding how the woman entered the water remain unconfirmed.
