Rubber Authority of Thailand Launches 'Civilized Agriculture' Initiative

According to a report by Thai Post on September 4, 2026, the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) has launched a project to promote 'Civilized Agriculture' (Araya Kaset) within rubber plantations. The initiative aims to reach a target of 100,000 rai of land by the year 2027.

To kickstart this effort, the RAOT has established 33 pilot rubber plantation models across 10 provinces in the upper Northeastern region of Thailand. The primary objective of this program is to create sustainable and stable income streams for rubber farmers by diversifying agricultural management practices.

For residents and those interested in Thailand’s agricultural landscape, this initiative represents a significant shift in how rubber-producing regions may be utilized and managed. By integrating 'Civilized Agriculture' principles, the project seeks to improve the economic resilience of farming communities in the Northeast.
