New 'Old Town & Riverside' Tourism Route Proposed for Bangkok
The Made in Song Wat Association is collaborating with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to develop a new cultural tourism route connecting three historic riverside districts.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Made in Song Wat Association is currently in discussions with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to establish a new tourism initiative titled 'Old Town & Riverside.' The project aims to create a cohesive cultural route that links three significant historic areas along the Chao Phraya River: Talat Noi, Song Wat, and Chakkrawat.
Kiatwat Srichanwanpen, president of the Made in Song Wat Association, stated that the initiative is designed to highlight the historical and cultural significance of these riverside neighborhoods. By connecting these districts, organizers hope to encourage visitors to explore the unique heritage and local atmosphere of these areas more effectively.
For travelers and residents, this development could lead to improved walking paths, better signage, and curated experiences that showcase the architectural and commercial history of Bangkok’s old town.
