A 41-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after intentionally striking his ex-wife with his car and dragging her motorcycle for 200 meters.
On September 4, 2026, police in Kamphaeng Phet arrested a 41-year-old man, identified as Banjerd, following a violent incident involving his ex-wife. According to Khaosod Online, the suspect intentionally drove his sedan into his ex-wife’s motorcycle, dragging the vehicle for approximately 200 meters and leaving the victim with serious injuries.
Following the collision, the suspect reportedly dislodged the motorcycle from his car and fled the scene before being apprehended at his home. During questioning, the suspect confessed to the act, citing jealousy after seeing his ex-wife post photos with a new partner on social media. He claimed he had been attempting to reconcile with her for months, though he denied previous allegations of death threats.
Authorities have charged the suspect with two counts: attempted premeditated murder and property damage. He has been remanded to the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Court. A passenger who was in the car at the time of the incident was cleared of involvement and is being treated as a witness.
