Energy Ministry Investigates Five Oil Depots for Alleged Hoarding

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Ministry of Energy has escalated its crackdown on fuel supply irregularities. Thitiphat Chotidechachainan, Secretary to the Minister of Energy and head of the intensive inspection committee, has directed the 'Sud Soi Palang Ngan' (Energy End-of-the-Line) team to submit evidence to the Trade Competition Commission (OTCC).

The ministry alleges that five additional oil depots engaged in hoarding and speculative practices, intentionally delaying sales during the recent energy crisis. These actions are suspected of violating fair trade practices by restricting supply to manipulate market prices.
