Kasetsart University Launches Buddha Statue Fundraiser for New Hospital

Kasetsart University and the Kasetsart Hospital Foundation have announced a fundraising initiative for the construction of the new Kasetsart Hospital, a key component of the university’s medical park project. As part of this effort, the public is invited to reserve the 'Phra Phuttha Punyakasetraphiban' Buddha statue throughout September 2026.

According to Khaosod Online, the initiative is timed to coincide with the month of retirement celebrations in Thailand, positioning the statue as a meaningful gift for retirees or loved ones. The university intends for this statue to serve as the presiding Buddha image for the future hospital. Proceeds from the reservations will directly support the development of the medical facility, which is designed to serve as a center for patient care, medical education, and professional training.

For residents and those interested in supporting local healthcare infrastructure, this campaign offers a way to contribute to the hospital's development while acquiring a commemorative item. Those who reserve the statue between September 1 and September 30, 2026, are eligible to receive a limited-edition souvenir, which will be distributed by the Kasetsart University Book Center.
