Fire Engulfs Recycling Warehouse in Ayutthaya

According to Khaosod Online, a large fire erupted at a recycling warehouse in the Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya province during the early hours of September 4, 2026. The facility, which spans approximately 1.5 rai, contained significant quantities of plastic bottles, paper scraps, and other recyclable materials that fueled the intense blaze and generated thick black smoke visible across the area.
Local authorities, including the Bang Pa-in Police and municipal fire departments, deployed nearly 10 fire trucks to the scene. Firefighters worked for approximately two hours to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent properties, which include another scrap yard and an automotive repair shop. Ayutthaya Governor Chanin Wongsathitjirakan visited the site to oversee the situation and inspect the facility, which serves as a collection and sorting point for various materials.
