On September 3, 2026, a police officer holding the rank of Captain (R.T.O.) reported to the Mueang Udon Thani Police Station alongside his lawyer to provide a statement regarding a recent incident at Nong Tha Park. According to reports from Khaosod Online, the officer had fired his weapon into the air to intimidate a group of youths who were allegedly causing a disturbance near the roadside.

A woman who was present at the scene with her five-year-old son filed a formal complaint, stating that the gunfire caused her child to panic and flee to the wrong vehicle.
