Udon Thani Man Arrested for Theft of Neighbor’s Prize Gamecock

On September 3, 2026, a 68-year-old woman named Chanpheng filed a formal complaint with the Mueang Udon Thani Police Station, reporting the theft of her two-year-old male gamecock, known as 'Chao Pradu.' According to the report filed with Police Lieutenant Wasan Nakongsri, the bird was allegedly taken by a 38-year-old neighbor identified as 'Boy.'

Upon arriving at the suspect's residence, officers discovered the carcass of the gamecock, which had already been slaughtered and plucked, reportedly in preparation for cooking. Police immediately took the suspect into custody and charged him with theft. The owner stated that her husband had originally purchased the bird for 5,000 baht.
