According to a report by Paul Joyce of The Times, as cited by Khaosod Online, Liverpool has identified 22-year-old AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara as a key target for their planned midfield overhaul next summer.

This interest follows a failed transfer attempt by Chelsea during the most recent summer window. Reports indicate that Chelsea had reached an agreement on both the transfer fee and personal terms for Camara. However, the deal collapsed when Monaco decided against selling the player, reportedly due to a desire to avoid losing two key players simultaneously, as a separate deal involving Folarin Balogun to Everton also fell through.

It is noted that Liverpool had previously contacted Monaco and the player’s representatives, signaling their intent to pursue a deal in 2027 should he remain with the French club.
