Thai Sprint Cycling Team Ranks 4th in Asia, Eyes Asian Games Success
The Thai national sprint cycling team has reached 4th place in the Asian rankings, maintaining 15th globally following their recent victory at the Track Asia Cup 2026.
According to Khaosod Online, General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Cycling Association of Thailand, announced that the national sprint cycling team has secured 4th place in the Asian rankings. This follows the latest Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) world rankings released on September 1, 2026.
The team currently holds 1,950 points, placing them 15th globally. This standing was bolstered by a gold medal performance at the 'Track Asia Cup 2026,' held at the Huamark Velodrome in Bangkok from August 28 to 30. Despite the team's strong performance, they remain behind Colombia, which moved up to 12th place after accumulating additional points in American continental competitions.
