Unusual String of Deaths Reported in Nakhon Ratchasima Village

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on September 3, 2026, the village of Ban Chaliang Khok in the Khon Buri district of Nakhon Ratchasima province is experiencing a period of distress following five consecutive deaths among its residents. The frequency of these losses has placed significant demand on the local temple’s crematorium, leading to widespread discussion and unease among the villagers.

Village headman Suriya Rueangkrathok confirmed that the deaths occurred in close succession. One of the recent individuals to pass away was 78-year-old Mr. Sunan, who died due to an infected wound. Another resident is currently awaiting funeral rites at the same temple. The village headman noted that earlier this year, around the Songkran festival, residents had organized a merit-making ceremony in hopes of alleviating illness and misfortune within the community. However, the recent sequence of deaths has occurred despite these efforts.
