Two Arrested in Nakhon Ratchasima with 2.7 Million Methamphetamine Pills

On September 2, 2026, authorities in Nakhon Ratchasima province conducted a drug interdiction operation on the Mittraphap Road near the Bua Lai district intersection. According to a report by Khaosod Online, police officers stopped a suspicious pickup truck that appeared to be heavily loaded. Upon inspection, officers discovered 2.7 million methamphetamine pills concealed within plastic-wrapped packages in the vehicle's bed. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is approximately 8.1 million baht.
Two individuals were taken into custody: the 44-year-old driver, identified as Mr. Kosin, and a 48-year-old passenger, identified as Ms. Somthawin. During initial questioning, the suspects reportedly confessed to being hired to transport the illicit cargo from Udon Thani province to a contact in Nakhon Ratchasima.
