Police Intervention in Nonthaburi Following Domestic Shooting
Special operations police surrounded a residence in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, to rescue a man shot by his cousin during a dispute over a water tap.
On the evening of September 2, 2026, police in Nonthaburi province conducted a tactical operation to rescue a 30-year-old man, identified as Mr. Kritsada, who had been shot inside a home in the Bang Talat sub-district of Pak Kret. According to Khaosod Online, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right shoulder that exited through his back.
Local authorities were alerted after the alleged shooter, identified as 35-year-old Mr. Nattawut, reportedly stood guard with a firearm, preventing others from entering the property to provide medical assistance. Upon receiving the report, the Nonthaburi Provincial Police dispatched a special operations unit to secure the perimeter. By the time officers cleared the scene, the suspect had fled. Emergency responders from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation were then able to provide first aid before transporting the victim to Chonprathan Hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest the violent confrontation stemmed from a dispute regarding a water tap. The mother of the suspect indicated that the situation had escalated to the point where she had previously resorted to chaining the door to contain her son.
