New Historical Education Initiative Launched at Ancient City
A collaborative project between the First Army Area and Wat Pa Bor Nam Phra In has launched a training program to promote Thai historical knowledge.
On September 2, 2026, Lieutenant General Worayot Lueangsuwan, Commander of the First Army Area, and Luangta Sinsap Charanadhammo officially opened the third session of the 'Thai National History Teacher' training program. Held at the Dusit Sawan Hall in the Ancient City (Muang Boran), the event marks the beginning of a five-day curriculum running through September 6, 2026.
According to Khaosod Online, the initiative involves over 500 participants, including government officials, military personnel, and interested members of the public. The program aims to disseminate historical knowledge compiled under the guidance of King Rama IX and King Rama X, encouraging a constructive approach to understanding the nation's past. Luangta Sinsap, a key supporter of the project, emphasized the importance of fostering a desire for historical learning among Thai citizens.
