Port Authority of Thailand Reports Strong Nine-Month Financial Performance

The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) announced a net profit of 5.4 billion baht for the first nine months of the 2026 fiscal year, driven by increased cargo and vessel traffic.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) has released its financial results for the first nine months of the 2026 fiscal year, covering October 2025 through June 2026. The agency reported a net profit of 5.4 billion baht, supported by a total revenue of 12.649 billion baht.

Acting Director Rattakorn Khieophaisan stated that the growth in port operations aligns with the broader expansion of the Thai economy and the export sector. During this period, the ports handled 11,591 vessel calls, marking a 2.76% increase, while total cargo volume reached 97.61 million tons, a rise of 4.44%. Additionally, container throughput reached 9.06 million TEUs.

For residents and travelers, this data reflects a robust logistics sector, which is a key indicator of national economic health and infrastructure activity. The PAT continues to focus on upgrading port capacity and service systems in line with Ministry of Transport policies. While these figures demonstrate current operational success, the long-term impact on national logistics costs and the specific timeline for further infrastructure upgrades remain to be confirmed as the fiscal year concludes.
