Two Arrested in Chiang Mai Gambling Network Crackdown

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, authorities from the Chiang Mai Provincial Police and the Mae Ping Police Station have arrested two individuals, aged 21 and 46, in connection with the 'UFO98' online gambling operation. The arrests took place in Lampang province following an investigation that identified five suspects involved in the illegal network.

Police investigations revealed that the gambling platform facilitated illegal betting activities with a reported circulation of over 25 million baht. The operation was part of an ongoing effort to dismantle the network after initial arrests were made. Authorities have issued a public warning, urging citizens and youth to avoid opening 'mule accounts' for such illegal activities, as doing so carries significant legal risks.
