Supreme Administrative Court Accepts Appeal Regarding NBTC Selection Process
The Supreme Administrative Court has overturned a lower court ruling, agreeing to hear a petition from Dr. Soran regarding the authority of the NBTC selection committee.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Supreme Administrative Court has issued an order (No. 952/2569) accepting an appeal filed by Dr. Soran. The case challenges the authority of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) selection committee to determine whether a candidate for the position of NBTC Chairman possesses prohibited characteristics.
Previously, the lower administrative court had dismissed the petition. By overturning this decision, the Supreme Administrative Court has now formally accepted the case for consideration. Dr. Soran’s legal challenge centers on the argument that the selection committee lacks the legal mandate to make final rulings on the eligibility of candidates regarding specific disqualifying criteria.
