Chinese Family Completes 3,500km Road Trip to University

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, a Chinese family recently completed a 3,500-kilometer road trip from Zaozhuang, Shandong, to Karamay, Xinjiang, to enroll their 18-year-old son in the Second Xinjiang Medical University. The journey, which took four days, involved six family members traveling in a seven-seater vehicle.

To commemorate the trip, the father, identified as Mr. Geng, spray-painted a message on the rear window detailing their route, which drew significant attention from other motorists. Beyond the academic milestone, the family used the trip as an opportunity to bond, taking turns driving and sightseeing. Notably, the group also stopped in Urumqi to fulfill the grandfather’s wish of reuniting with his long-lost brother after several decades of separation.
