According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a fatal incident occurred on the night of September 1, 2026, in the Sri Don Tan area of Lamphun province. Local police were notified at approximately 10:00 PM regarding a violent altercation between two brothers.
Reports indicate that the younger brother, identified as Mr. Tor, confronted his older brother, 31-year-old Mr. Komkrit, for drinking with friends instead of attending to their mother, who is currently receiving end-of-life care for cancer at a hospital. The argument escalated, resulting in Mr. Komkrit sustaining a severe stab wound to his left chest. Despite emergency medical intervention and transport to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle but was subsequently apprehended by police on the Rim Ping-Nong Tong road in Mueang Lamphun district. Authorities recovered a kitchen knife believed to be the weapon used in the attack.
