A 37-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by her partner, a durian vendor, in Chonburi province following a dispute reportedly linked to an allergic reaction.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a tragic incident occurred in Nong Phai Kaeo, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi, where a 37-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Bunrat, was fatally stabbed at a durian stall. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Mr. Itsara, was the victim's partner of approximately three months.
Reports indicate that the altercation allegedly stemmed from the suspect suffering an allergic reaction to fermented fish (pla ra). The suspect claimed he had asked his partner to take him to a doctor, but felt she responded with sarcasm, leading to the fatal confrontation. The victim’s sister, who traveled from Buriram to handle funeral arrangements, stated she had not previously met the suspect and only learned of the motive through media reports. In a poignant detail noted by rescue workers, the victim had previously donated coffins to charity, only for one to be used for her own funeral.
