Krungthai Bank Expands Investment Options with 28 New DRs
Krungthai Bank is launching 28 new Depositary Receipts (DRs) on September 9, 2026, focusing on the AI sector and Chinese ETFs.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Krungthai Bank has announced the launch of 28 new Depositary Receipts (DRs), collectively referred to as DR80, scheduled to begin trading on September 9, 2026. This expansion brings the bank's total offering to 141 securities, covering markets in the United States, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Europe.
The new additions are specifically curated to align with the 'AI Supercycle' trend. The portfolio includes leading companies involved in the AI supply chain, data center infrastructure, energy, and data storage systems. Additionally, the bank is introducing new investment options for the Chinese market through ETFs managed by E Fund.
For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this development signifies an increased accessibility to global technology-focused investments through a local banking platform. While these instruments provide a way to participate in international market trends, potential investors should note that the performance of these DRs is tied to the underlying foreign assets. As with any financial instrument, individuals should conduct their own research or consult with financial advisors regarding their personal investment strategy. Specific details regarding the individual ticker symbols and the exact fee structures for these new offerings remain to be confirmed by the bank upon the official launch date.
